What do you do for work? I worked as a domestic worker for 4 years, and now I work to support and mobilise Domestic Workers as a community organiser. I am a trained health records and information technology specialist and from time to time, I also work as a Research Assistant.
Before working with Haki Data Lab, had you ever collected data before? Yes, it was a challenging experience that pushed me to learn and gain more skills and understand how to work with data and this helped me to sharpen my skills in data collection. I also learnt that it is not a guarantee that people will share information with you in the field, some decline and others ask for payment for the time spent in giving information.
Tell us about your “superpowers”! Everyone has one, what are yours? I am the best cook. They call me the “chapati mistress”, I make the best chapatis. And organizing, I am so handy when it comes to organizing stuff, be it people or spaces.
What brings you joy in your daily life? My family. Seeing them happy excites my soul.
